Hermione –
Founder & Speech Pathologist

  • Hermione is the passionate speech pathologist and driving force behind House of Speech. With a deep commitment to empowering families, she founded the clinic on the belief that parents play a vital role in a child’s communication journey. Her goal is to provide high-quality, evidence-based therapy while equipping parents with the knowledge and tools to support their child’s development beyond the clinic.

     Hermione’s approach is warm, collaborative, and child-centred, ensuring therapy is not only effective but also engaging and meaningful. She is dedicated to creating a space where children’s voices are nurtured, parents feel confident, and communication flourishes.

     At the clinic, you might also meet Earl, her loyal Border Collie and therapy dog, who brings an extra layer of support and comfort to sessions.

Georgia –
Speech Pathologist

  • Georgia or “George,” is a vibrant and playful therapist passionate about supporting autistic children and ADHDers in understanding their unique communication styles.

    She provides neurodiverse-affirming assessment and therapy, creating a fun and creative space for children to thrive.

    George has worked with children aged 2 to 17 in schools and private clinics, supporting speech, language, literacy, stuttering, and AAC. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, gardening, swimming at the beach, and expressing her love for fashion through bold colours and textures.

Ellie –
Therapy Assistant & Administration

  • Ellie is a warm, encouraging, and play-based Therapy Assistant who loves supporting children to build confidence in their communication skills. She has a special interest in helping children work towards their speech and language goals through engaging, child-led activities that make learning fun and meaningful. 

    Ellie believes in child-led, play-based therapy, creating sessions that are enjoyable, motivating, and tailored to each child’s individual interests and strengths. She loves incorporating creativity, pretend play, games, and hands-on activities into therapy to support communication and connection. 

    Outside of work, Ellie enjoys spending time with her dog Ollie, making craft projects on the weekends, baking sweet treats, and finding creative new ideas to bring into therapy sessions. 

Sam –
Early Childhood Professional/Therapy
Assistant

  • With a strong background in Early Childhood Education and Care, Sam brings both professional knowledge and personal passion to her role as an Early Childhood Professional/AH Assistant. As a mum of five, Sam understands the importance of creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. She is a big believer in play-based, child-led learning. Sam aims to build strong, trusting relationships with both children and families.

    Sam values open and honest communication with parents and strives to be approachable, welcoming, and fun in everything she does.

    Outside of work, you’ll usually find Sam with her family, building her house, tending to the animals, or enjoying a quiet moment in the garden with a cup of tea and a good book.

Sue –
therapy Assistant

  • Earl is House of Speech’s beloved therapy dog and resident morale booster. As a friendly and gentle Border Collie, he often joins sessions, providing comfort, motivation, and a calming presence for children and families.

    Whether he’s offering a reassuring nuzzle, joining in play-based therapy, or simply brightening the clinic with his wagging tail, Earl is always ready to support in his own special way.

    When he’s not at work, he loves chasing balls, going on adventures, and getting all the pats he can!
