Speech Pathology Assessment includes a 90 minute appointment in clinic, written summary letter, diagnosis (if applicable) and recommendations. This appointment will provide guidance for future steps and the therapist can outline what your child needs.

If you require an assessment session with a detailed and comprehensive report, price is $680.

The difference? A comprehensive report will outline your child’s performance across all assessed domains and can be used for further diagnosis purposes with a paediatrician.

50% deposit required for private paying clients

Therapy appointments can be 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 60 minutes. Our rates below are outlined for private paying and NDIS clients.

NDIS Rates

45 minute session: $145.99 (30 minutes direct time, 15 minutes admin)

60 minute session: $193.99 (45 minutes direct time, 15 minutes admin)

Private clients

60 minute session: $195

Medicare rebates and health fund rebates available. You need to pay the full fee, then it’s reimbursed into your account.

Re-assessment for existing clients is billed within the therapy time. Additional administrative charge is applied for report writing, in alignment with the hourly rate.

At House of Speech, we work with our Therapy Assistant's closely in order to deliver high quality services in rural locations. This billing is predominantly applicable for our Kingaroy clinic.

NDIS clients

Therapy assistant session 1:1 with client $86.79 (45 minutes direct, 15 minutes admin)

Therapy assistant session with Speech Pathologist present $56.16 (45 minutes direct, 15 minutes admin)

Private Therapy Assistant session: $60

Early Childhood Professional

60 minute session +admin charge

$160 for session + 15 mins admin

We can provide therapy supports at home, school, or kindergarten. This is usually done following an assessment and in collaboration with the director. Clinic appointments are our preference in order for collaboration and home carryover.

Travel charges apply in line with current NDIS price guides

$0.99/km and $97/hour

This is in addition to the therapy appointment.

If seeing multiple children at the same location, travel is distributed between the bookings.

When completing administration tasks such as reports, letters, phone calls, stakeholder meetings, and personalised resource creation, we charge for non face-to-face time.

All administration tasks for NDIS clients are charged in line with the hourly NDIS rate ($193.99)

We bill for most administration tasks which are longer than 15 minutes.
